“Arrivederci Roma! Goodbye, goodbye to Rome” - so the crooners of the ‘60s sang. And it’s goodbye from us as well.
An amazing experience indeed. Lots of people everywhere as befits Rome in a Jubilee Year. Especially Young People. Heaps of them. Not only scouts, but other groups, each group dressed in its own distinctive tribal colours. All following their own distinctive tribal flag. Chanting, occasionally, their own distinctive song. DJ and I weren’t dressed alike, are not young and didn’t need a flag to follow. Still we had fun.
The funnest was the Fat Tires Tour last night on our bicycles, under the guidance of Marika, our gorgeous leader. Marika took us to beautiful out-of-the-way spots, as well as some of the ‘sights’ like the Spanish Steps. A soft rain fell at times, but gosh we had fun!
I’m going to write on my blog from now on, so switcheroony over to that if you still have the link. I think it’s on Blogspot.
Toodles!
