Hey! How great is it to catch a train in a foreign clime? You get up early (6:00am) and pack up ready for a 7:00 am departure. You leave at 7:02 - not bad. Hop onto the underground and get off at the main stattion - Termini.
Our train to Assisi, as outlined on our ticket, leaves at 8:02 am. Clearly stated in the top, right-hand side of the ticket. We are at the station with 30 minutes to spare.
HOWEVER!
At 7:33 am DJ gets a text saying that the departure time is 7:35 am. Go figure! No chance to catch that baby!
Got on the nexty, though, and here we are hurtling towards our ultimate destination, having breakfasted well and relaxed at the “Eatily” (get it?) restaurant at the station.
IT JUST GOES TO SHOW, doesn’t it?
